Truck Records
The smart business with a mobile wing will not choose trucks just because they like trucks.
- Trucks are inefficient, consuming significantly more gasoline than cars.
- Trucks are more accident prone and generally come with higher repair costs.
- Insuring a truck will in most cases cost more than insuring a car.
Only use trucks when you need trucks, thats lesson #1. Lesson #2 is don't consider truck records as you'd consider car records - different beasts entirely.
The real meaning of truck records
A business needing trucks will be a tough business - hauling, towing, lugging, off-road use. Incredible strain, rough conditions, and trucks will break down. As a business owner you still need to access those truck records to see what is going on, what repairs have been made and to make sure the maintenance schedule is kept to insure the safety of your mobile employees. But the number of accidents, the number of repairs and overall cost of managing trucks will be much greater than compared to cars - know that, and prepare for that cost.
However, as with all other Vehicle Record Checks you can and should make comparisons between records and you can use these comparisons throughout the reimbursement process. If a specific truck record is matched to a specific driver then doling out repayments or instruction as needed will be incredibly easy.
